Earth Day: Teach-In at the National Mall
April 22nd, 2017
Co-founder Richard Lawrence and a team of project specialists gathered in Washington DC to host a two-hour event titled, “What is a carbon project?” Relying on proven science, the Cool Effect team showcased the positive impact carbon-reduction projects are having on the environment.
Interactive displays demonstrated how efficient cookstoves are helping to reduce CO2 and improve children’s health, how rainforests are being protected while also saving rare birds from extinction, and how human ingenuity is turning cow poo into clean energy. (With real cow poo on display!) After the event, the entire team took to the National Mall to hear co-founder Dee Lawrence’s speech and participate in the March for Science.
